‘Hear what?’ she modestly asked. ‘The theme of Dil To Pagal Hai,’ he answered smiling. That was totally out of the blue for Tanya. She looked dumbfounded. ‘Even I am confused Doctor, usually it’s a different song when you are around.’ She was obviously not buying any of it. ‘Are you out of your mind?’ she giggled. ‘I know, it’s hard to explain. Actually leave it… Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Anjali… I mean Tanya, tum nahi samjhogi.’ Tanya shook her head and softly slapped him with the bouquet. She wasn’t sure if Luv was the ‘guy’ she had often dreamt of. But there’s no denying that she had blissfully smiled today much, much more than she could last remember.
‘Alright Luv, I should get going now. I had a great time today. We should definitely catch up again,’ she said checking the time in her phone that was purposefully kept on silent. But glancing at her phone changed the entire milieu. There were three missed calls and eight texts from Parag. She got impatient. All possible scenarios flashed in her head one after another. Concealing all her thoughts she said goodbye to Luv and started walking out. Luv, as always, told himself, ‘Aaj to pakka paltegi… palat… palat…’
Tanya didn’t turn back.
