The 2 most common types of people at airport, which one are you?

1. Those who are in super hurry

“Only 1 hour to go, we need to rush!”

2. Those who are in no hurry at all

“Relax, we have 1 full hour before the flight leaves”

It could be surprising that both of them are catching the same flight and have the same amount of time with them. Also, at first it could seem those in super hurry need to chill. But let me take another example, especially curated for my cricket loving friends here (and I am sorry for referring to cricketers from the time when I used to follow the game),

What is the difference between Virender Sehwag and MS Dhoni?

While one is an explosive opener known for scoring quick runs and give the team a great start, another is regarded as a master-chaser, keeping his cool, not worrying about a few dot balls here and there but ultimately being one of the best finishers of the game. So here’s another question,

Which of the two is more important?

This is definitely arguable but then give it a thought, aren’t both important at specific times? When you are batting first Sehwag is your man but when you are chasing 350, you know Mahi has your back at number 6 or 7.

Similarly, both the types of people at the airport have valuable lessons to offer. Sometimes we need to hurry up, make quick decisions and take fast actions even if we do not have all the information at hand. Take Jacinda Ardern’s handling of COVID-19 for example.

But other times, it pays to hold on, utilize all the possible resources (including time) and make a move just-in-time. This almost rhymes with what every personal finance guru would teach you about a market crash. Avoid hasty decisions, continue with your buying discipline and do not exit the market because that would make your loss permanent.

So the next time you are at the airport, how about you try to figure out the kind of person you are?
